In the middle of the Hill Country Galleria there is a nice library called the Bee Cave Public Library. You really cannot beat the location because after you go to the library and check out wonderful books you can walk a few steps and grab a coffee or some lunch. There is even a nice grassy area right across the way if you want to let the kids run around a bit before you leave!
This is definitely not a huge library, but it still has a great selection of books. Also, the librarians are super helpful and very friendly! We usually spend most of our time in the children’s section when visiting because they have books for both my 2 year old and 8 year old there. They also have a little reading area where I sit with my 2 year old as we read multiple books and he picks his favorite. I will note that I did not see any toys for kids to play with during our visit so that was a little bummer for my 2 year old, but he did enjoy climbing on the kid sized couches and going through all of the board books. Another great part about this library is they not only offer in person check outs, but you can also request contactless pickup and grab your books by the front door of the library. You can find more details about the contactless pickup on their site here: https://www.beecavetexas.gov/city-government/library .

My two year old also loves Bee Cave Public Library’s Story Time at the Park! We have participated in story time on a few occasions and it is a lot of fun for younger children. The activity takes place at Bee Cave Central Park under the pavilion which is a really nice location. They read books, sing songs, and dance. We really appreciate having activities outdoors and it is a great way for the kids to hear stories and music. The story time currently takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. (schedule may vary due to the weather), and you can find more information here: https://www.beecavetexas.gov/city-government/library/programs-services-children . Also, once you are done with story time you can enjoy the beautiful Bee Cave Central Park. They have playgrounds, paved walking trails, a dog park, and sport courts for use. If you would like to learn more about the park you can find my full review here: https://lonestarfamilyfun.com/2021/09/30/bee-cave-central-park/ .
Bee Cave Public Library will always be one of our favorites because it is in an amazing location, there are plenty of books to choose from, and they have a nice outdoor story time. I appreciate public libraries so much because my little ones love books and it’s a great place to check out many different ones without having to buy them all! I hope you get a chance to check out this library or your local library soon!
